WARRANTY POLICY

WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS:


1. For any warranty claim to be processed, customers are obligated to provide an authentic and valid proof of purchase, that clearly indicates the purchase date and details of the product.
2. Customers must register their product on the AGE Care app or through the given link on AGE Care within 7 days of purchase to benefit from the warranty. To complete the registration, customers need to upload a photo of the first page of the warranty card as well as an image of the product's outer packaging.
3. Repairs under warranty must be performed only by authorized personnel of the company. The details of service centers and support required are available at the company website, www.ageindia.in/support/service-center.
4. Calls made to our centralized helpline or Authorized Service center regarding cleaning of the product or parts from dust accumulation, basic product explanations or returns, or specific software installation issues aren't deemed as defects. Additionally, the company does not assume responsibility for the quality of software used by customers.
5. If we repair or replace part/s during this warranty, the warranty will only last for its original time. The time used for repair or shipping, whether during or after the warranty period, will not extend the warranty of the product.
6. If authorized service center personnel determine that the product has been mishandled or damaged, the warranty provisions will be considered null and void. In such instances, repairs will be based on the availability of parts and will cost standard charges.
7. In the event that any unexpected incident takes place, and spares are not readily available, the purchaser will be required to accept the company's current depreciation regulations as a business solution in substitute of repairs. This is a contractual obligation.
8. If AGE INDIA introduces any extended warranty offers for specific products or periods, it is the buyer's responsibility to register the warranty card within seven days of purchase, either online through our official website, at an authorized service center, or by contacting customer service.
9. During the repair process, AGE may choose to utilize parts or accessories that are either brand new, refurbished, or reconditioned, based on availability and suitability.
10. AGE India shall not be liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience, or damage resulting from the user's or purchaser's use or inability to use the product.
11. For additional promotional or extended warranty offers, please refer to the specific product page of interest.
12. This warranty is non-transferable and is applicable only to the original purchaser. It does not cover products purchased secondhand or from unauthorised dealers.
13. The warranty becomes void if the product's serial number is altered, erased, or removed.
14. AGE India reserves the right to reject warranty claims for products that are found to have been stolen or procured through unlawful means.
15. Normal wear and tear, as well as consumable parts (like batteries), are not covered by this warranty unless mentioned otherwise in the product's warranty specifics.
16. This warranty is valid only within the territorial boundaries of India.
17. The decision of AGE India in relation to the warranty claims, as to the applicability and validity of the warranty, shall be final and binding.
18. AGE India is not liable for failure or delay in fulfilling its obligations due to external forces beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of nature, government actions, or shipping, postal, or other relevant transport strike, lockdowns or other labor trouble.


WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS:


1. Accidental or Intentional Damage:

Definition: Accidental or intentional damage refers to harm or impairment to the product, in this case, a TV, which is either caused inadvertently (without intention) or through a deliberate action rather than resulting from manufacturing flaws or the natural course of wear and tear.

Potential Causes: a. Accidental:
  1. 1. Mishandling during transport or relocation.
  2. 2. Accidentally knocking or tipping the TV off its stand.
  3. 3. Exposure to excessive moisture, such as spilling liquids or a water leak nearby.
  4. 4. Children playing near the TV and causing damage with toys or other objects
  5. 5. Incorrect cleaning methods, like using abrasive materials or excessive water.
  6. 6. Failure to ensure sufficient ventilation during installation, contrary to the guidelines in the instruction manual.
b. Intentional:
  1. 1. Purposefully causing physical harm to the TV out of frustration or anger.
  2. 2. Attempting DIY modifications without proper knowledge.
  3. 3. Intentionally exposing the TV to harmful conditions, like extreme temperatures.

Consequences:

1. Open cell failure can be due to improper handling during installation or exposure to unsuitable environmental factors. It leads to screen anomalies such as dark spots or lines on the display.
2. Main board failure can be due to inadequate ventilation, exposure to heat, or use of incompatible power sources, the main board can malfunction, rendering the TV inoperative.
3. The TV might not last as long as it should because the damage can accelerate wear and tear.
4. The quality of the visuals or audio might degrade due to the harm it suffered. For instance, if something strikes the screen, it might show discolored patches or lines, affecting the viewing experience.
5. Damage to the internal components or the outer shell of the TV can introduce risks. A damaged circuit might cause electrical shorts, potentially leading to fires.
6. If the manufacturer or seller determines that the damage was caused by misuse or intentional harm, they might void the warranty, meaning they won't cover repairs or replacements.


Preventive Measures:

1. Properly anchor or mount the TV to prevent tip-overs’.
2. Keep the TV away from high-traffic areas or places where it's likely to be bumped or knocked over.
3. Educate household members, especially children, about the proper care and handling of the TV.
4. Use recommended cleaning methods and products, ensuring no liquids seep into the TV components.
5. Avoid DIY modifications and always consult the product manual or manufacturer's guidelines for any alterations or adjustments.
6. Protect the TV from potential hazards, such as pets, direct sunlight, or excessive humidity.
7. Install the TV strictly as per the user manual, ensuring adequate ventilation.


Examples
1. Dropping the TV during relocation.
2. Spilling drinks over the TV.
3. Using the TV in conditions it's not designed for, like outside without any protection against the elements.


2. Improper Installation or Maintenance:

Definition: Improper installation or maintenance pertains to scenarios where the TV or product is not set up or looked after in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines or recognized best practices.


Potential Causes:


a. Accidental:

1. Setting up the TV without reading the manual leads to overlooked steps.
2. Using incorrect or substandard mounting hardware.
3. Placing the TV near heat sources like radiators, heaters, or direct sunlight.
4. Using cleaning agents or methods that are not recommended for electronic devices.


b. Intentional:

1. Trying to mount the TV in unconventional locations without the right support.
2. Deliberately neglecting regular maintenance checks or cleaning.
3. Using incompatible accessories or power sources.


Consequences:

1. Reduced picture and sound quality due to suboptimal placement or environmental factors.
2. Increased risk of the TV falling or getting damaged due to insecure mounting.
3. Potential electrical hazards or malfunctions due to dust accumulation or internal damage.
4. Voiding of the warranty due to discernible misuse or neglect.


Preventive Measures:

1. Always refer to and follow the manufacturer's installation guide when setting up the TV.
2. Ensure the use of recommended mounting hardware and accessories.
3. Keep the TV away from direct heat sources and ensure it has ample ventilation.
4. Regularly check for software updates and maintain a cleaning routine using safe and recommended products.
5. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of or around the TV that could compromise its structural integrity.


Examples:

1. Not securing the TV properly, leading to it falling off its stand.
2. Exposing the TV to extreme temperatures, causing damage to internal components.
3. Neglecting regular cleaning and dusting, resulting in overheating or other technical malfunctions.


3. Acts of God or Natural Disasters:

Definition: Acts of God or natural disasters refer to unforeseen and uncontrollable events caused by natural forces rather than human actions or interventions. These events typically have the power to cause significant damage, and their occurrence and intensity are unpredictable.


Potential Causes:
a. Natural Phenomena:

1. Severe weather conditions like hurricanes, typhoon or cyclones.
2. Geological events like earthquakes, tsunamis, or volcanic eruptions.
3. Electrical phenomena like lightning strikes.
4. Extreme temperature events like heatwaves or cold snaps.
5. Water-related events like flooding or heavy rainfall.



Consequences:

1. Physical damage to the TV from exposure to water, heat, or force.
2. Electrical malfunctions due to power surges or electrical interference.
3. Internal damage from debris, ash, or other particles entering the TV.
4. Complete loss of the TV in extreme cases, such as if it's submerged during flooding or crushed in a building collapse.
5. Invalidation of the warranty as such events are beyond the scope of typical coverage.



Preventive Measures:

1. Placement of the TV on higher ground or away from windows to minimise flood or storm damage risk.
2. Using surge protectors to safeguard against electrical surges during lightning strikes.
3. Regularly monitoring weather and geological reports in areas prone to such events.
4. Reinforcing homes or building structures to resist natural forces better.
5. Ensuring the TV is adequately insured, separate from its warranty, especially in regions prone to natural disasters.


Examples:

1. A TV being damaged by water during heavy flooding.
2. The internal circuitry of the TV got fried due to a sudden power surge after a lightning strike.
3. The TV screen gets cracked or shattered during an earthquake.
